THE LAZARUS UNION

As the General Representative of the Lazarus Union International, a social non-governmental organization (NGO) with General Consultative Status to the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), I am honored to provide a self-portrayal that encapsulates the essence of our mission, values, and commitment to fostering positive change on a global scale.

We are an independent and private charitable organization in accordance with the ideals and the spirit of St. Lazarus. The Lazarus Union stands as a beacon of hope and catalyst for transformative social development. Rooted in the principles of equality, justice, and human rights, we strive to address the most pressing challenges facing communities worldwide. Our General Consultative Status to ECOSOC reflects not only our dedication to these principles but also the recognition of our expertise and contributions to international dialogue and policymaking.

Mission and Values:

The main principles of the CSLI are tolerancehumilitymercy, and charity, and we feel deep respect for everyone. We accept people as they are. We are open to all people, irrespective of their nationality, ethnicity, religion, sex, age, social status, or origin.

At the heart of the Lazarus Union is a steadfast commitment to advancing the well-being of individuals and communities across the globe. Our mission is to promote sustainable development, eradicate poverty, and champion social justice. We firmly believe that every person deserves the opportunity to live a dignified life, free from discrimination and inequality.

Our values guide our actions and decisions. We embrace inclusivity, transparency, and collaboration as essential elements in creating lasting positive impact. By fostering partnerships and alliances, we amplify our collective efforts to address the multifaceted challenges that affect humanity.

Key Areas of Focus:

Human Rights: We are unwavering in our commitment to upholding and defending human rights for all. Through advocacy, education, and empowerment initiatives, we work towards creating a world where fundamental human rights are universally respected and protected.

Sustainable Development: The Lazarus Union is deeply invested in sustainable development practices. We champion initiatives that balance environmental conservation, economic prosperity, and social equity. By promoting responsible and inclusive development, we contribute to the creation of resilient and thriving communities.

Global Health: Recognizing health as a fundamental human right, we actively engage in initiatives to improve healthcare access, address public health challenges, and promote well-being on a global scale. Our endeavors aim to reduce health disparities and enhance healthcare systems.

Education and Empowerment: Education is a powerful tool for empowerment. We focus on initiatives that enhance access to quality education, particularly for marginalized communities. Through educational programs, we aim to empower individuals to break the cycle of poverty and contribute meaningfully to society.

Engagement with ECOSOC:

Our General Consultative Status to ECOSOC provides us with a unique platform to contribute to international policymaking. We actively participate in discussions, share our expertise, and advocate for policies that align with our mission and values. By collaborating with governments, international organizations, and fellow NGOs, we strive to shape policies that foster sustainable development and social progress.

Call to Action:

As the General Representative, I invite individuals, governments, and organizations to join hands with us in our mission. Together, we can build a world where social justice, equality, and human dignity are not just ideals but lived realities for every person, regardless of their background or circumstance. Our journey towards a better world is a collective endeavor, and we are committed to walking this path hand in hand with all those who share our vision for a brighter future.
