Article 1, Charta of the United Nations

The Lazarus Union’s peace initiative for ending the war between the Russian Federation and Ukraine. The Lazarus Union’s plan is built on the principles of immediate cessation of violence, constructive dialogue, and international cooperation to foster a lasting peace.

The key components of the plan include:

  1. Immediate Ceasefire: Both parties agree to halt all military operations and hostilities immediately. This step is crucial to prevent further loss of life and damage.
  2. Negotiations and Dialogue: Establish a platform for open and honest dialogue between the Russian Federation and Ukraine. The aim is to address underlying issues and grievances that have fueled the conflict.
  3. International Mediation: Involvement of neutral international mediators to facilitate the peace talks. These mediators would help ensure that the discussions remain balanced and constructive.
  4. Humanitarian Assistance: Provide immediate humanitarian aid to affected regions to address urgent needs such as medical care, food, and shelter. This would help alleviate the suffering of civilians caught in the conflict.
  5. Trust-Building Measures: Implement measures to build trust between the two parties, such as prisoner exchanges, return of bodies, and joint initiatives to clear landmines and other remnants of war.
  6. Security Guarantees: Offer security assurances to both sides to mitigate fears of future aggression. This could include international guarantees or the presence of peacekeeping forces.
  7. Political and Economic Reforms: Encourage and support political and economic reforms within Ukraine to stabilize the country and address any internal issues that may have contributed to the conflict.
